How much is a taxi from San Francisco airport to Union Sq?

And how much is the return from Union Sq to San Francisco? Also, is there public transport from the airport to Union Sq? How long does it take? many thanks Thanks but what is BART?

1. Depending on traffic, about $40 each way, about half an hour. A shuttle such as Super Shuttle would be about $18 each way. You get them at the arrivals level. Takes anywhere from half an hour to a bit longer, depending on how many stops it makes. BART is about $3.50 (not sure of the exact fare), and will take you directly to Union Square (Powell Street station). It's about 20 minutes for the ride itself, but it also takes a while to get to the platform.
2. Taxi is about $40-45 including tip, which is usually around 10% tonalc2 is right about the cost of shuttle buses, although there are a lot more operators than the blue SuperShuttle. Just be careful, some of them can take you on a long route to get to your destination, wasting a lot of time. 3. Definitely take BART. It will be cheaper and faster than a taxi. BART is the local train system. When you land at the airport, find the BART station. Get on the train and get off at Powell Street, which is at Union Square.
