How do you change the the input location for a jnlp file from a website to a local folder on your hard drive?

I am trying to edit a jnlp file to figure out a project and in order to check whether or not I am making the correct changes, I need to see the jnlp run with my added changes. How do i change the input location of the jnlp from the website it normally uses to the folder location on my hard drive? Thanks so much!
