How reliable is EMS Japan shipping to the Philippines?
I'm ordering my first package from Japan through their english site. I just want to ask how will I receive my order to my place in the province of the philippines?(Ilocos Sur) Also what adress, zip code etc should I type? Also how do I receive my package in the province? Where will I pick it up or will they deliver it to my house?

- From personal experience, it's very reliable. You will be given a tracking number on your receipt; you can use that to check the status of your package. One you get the tracking number, you can track it here: http://www.post.japanpost.jp/int/ems/index_en.html You can only get status on the Japan side. EMS tracking is currently not supported in the Philippines. What this means is that once the package arrives in the Philippines, status updates from Japan Post will be slower and far in between. You can find your ZIP code here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_ZIP_Codes_in_the_Philippines#Ilocos_Sur EDIT: I don't know how it goes in the provinces (I am from Manila). But in my experience, items delivered through EMS were sent right at my doorstep. The worst thing that can happen (except for the package being lost or damaged) is that you would need to pick it up from the local post office. You will be notified perhaps by a call or by a notice slipped to your door.
- MELVIN is right. I also use EMS for delivery of my goods to the PI. My family receives everything on time. EMS is delivered right to your residential/business place. one word of advise: before you sign the delivery slip, you check evry corner of the package. If its a box, check the corner for some small holes. I have friends telling me that there were missing items and there were holes at the lower portion of the box. and if your EMS arrived in an envelope form, see to it that there are no evidence of tampering. If you are doubtless then you sign the delivery form. I did not say there is something fishy going on in the Philippine post sevice...but sometimes, I cant help but wonder...
- EMS is really good. On time and trustworthy. My relatives back in Japan were and still sending good from Japan through EMS. No explanation needed.
- EMS is very reliable
