This is a 2009 model...is it front or rear positioned engine?

1. What year? Up to 1971 they used the standard type 1 motors. 72 to 83 they used the type 4 or pancake motor Starting with a 1700cc and ending with a 2000cc. 83 and later they have a water box motor.
