What is the difference between shipping options when you preorder a game?

a preordered madden nfl 10 from gamestop.com and there were a few shipping options. ex. ground, u.s. value etc. i chose overnight which takes 1 shipping day, and 1 processing day and is the most expensive. the game releases on august 14 and that is when it says it ships so what exactly is the difference between shipping options if it says it ships on august 14?

1. when preordering a game you usaly get something with it and when shipping its cheaper
2. If its overnight you should get it August 15th. The only difference is the time it takes to get to your house. The cheaper the shipping is, the slower it comes
