How would an oline retailer set up shipping charges on their web site?

If you are an online retailer with no inventory~you have a vendor in CT and say another in CO. A customer orders a product from the vendor in CT (they charge a flat rate of $7 to ship) and a product from CO (they charge by weight) how would you determine a shipping charge on the check out page? Would you use weight, total order price or what?

1. Neither. You should have your own policy that is INDEPENDENT of your vendors. What your vendors charge YOU (and they ARE charging YOU), is none of your customers business, and should be included in your list price.
