Tax for 1979 vw type 2 transporter campervan?

I am purchasing a 1979 v w type 2 camper and i was wondering what an estimated price for tax would be. It is classed as transporter in insurance as it has no camping interior. It has 1600 cc engine. Thanks for your time xxx

2. because of the age of the car/van you might be eligable for classic car tax which is dirt cheep. couldnt giv you an estimate because i dont know where you live but in ireland if you can tax it as a classic it is literly a couple of euro hope this helps
3. Approx £180 a year. It needs to be registered prior to 1972 to qualify for classic car free tax.
