- I just went on a cruise from FL last month, we rented a car and parked at the cruise port. It was too expensive to ride the Disney charter bus @ $72.00 per person for for 6 people.. Depending on how many days you will be cruising you could prob find a good rate on a rental car, especially if you can get a weekend rate, and it's like $15.00 per day to park at the cruise port.. Hope that helps
- We went out of Jacksonville, Florida. Spent the night at The Holiday Inn Express and they shuttled you to the ship, which was near by. Plus you can leave your car parked there for your length of stay. They also picked you up when you got back and took you to your car. Very easy.
- Try shuttles - i just did a quick google search and found this one: http://www.cbshuttle.com/ I also recommend this site - you'll get all your answers about cruises through this online board. I just went on a cruise last month and found a couple to share a ride from the port to the airport (in Rome). http://boards.cruisecritic.com/
- when your booking your cruise out of Canaveral they will ask if your flying in, where to, and if you need trans. to the ship from the AP. It's about 1.5 hours from Orlando AP to Canaveral and I don't know the cost of the shuttle but it will be cheaper than a taxi
- The cheapest way is to rent a car. It is about an hour drive. Then do the same on your return. Lots of people do this so the rental places are used to it.
