Public transport in Sydney?

Whats your opinion on public transport issues in Sydney (Australia)? Good, bad? How can we improve it? What do we need to improve? etc. I'd like to heard your opinion :) . Thanks

3. I only ever catch trains from time to time when I meet up with my mates and 9/10 times, there are delays and issues on the network. I can't imagine how the people who commute daily think and what they have to go through everyday. I seriously cannot understand WHERE the money tax payers paid are going. Despite the promises made over and over, I just cannot see any improvements. The NSW Government has recently invested in a "Cleaning Blitz" to keep the trains cleaner. I reckon that is a waste of money. It's not a matter about keeping trains clean at this stage... it's about improving efficiency and capacity. Cleaning can be done LATER.
4. the coverage of the public transport is pretty good, far reaching and quite frequent services to most places. cleanliness is not so flash though
5. The bus system is pretty good but the the trains are hopeless
