How does USPS shipping work?
I am planning on sending some packages for my buyers from ebay. Trying to send a sweater, but I don't know how this whole shipping thing works out exactly. I said they would pay priority mail rate, which is low. But then I want to send the sweater in a box. But on ebay boxes are free, so I got one of those. Then it says I pay for shipping postage...is that the low priority mail price or is that a higher rate? why does it say it cost $10 when sending things in boxes? that's not the priority mail rate. That is usually 4.95. Can someone explain? Thanks beforehand. :)

- Your question is not really clear. First of all, priority mail boxes are free from USPS. You have to attach postage to those boxes. It depends on the weight and type of box used as to what you will be charged. There are a few options to get postage for 4.95, those are using a 4.95 small flat rate box or envelope. Unlikely that a sweater will fit it that. So your postage is based on measurements of box and weight as well as what zone. Once you receive payment, you can print your shipping label in Paypal from ebay. You will need to enter the measurements of the box and weight. Printing postage online will get you free delivery confirmation and a discount on shipping costs. Your only other option is using a large flat rate box which is $9 and change. You can also print postage directly from USPS.
