choose a location in the world where you would start a new colony Where would it be?

the colony will consist of about 100 people and yourself. why would you choose this location? what type of language would you use to communicate? will it be spoken written of both? what type of religion will you practice? what effect will it have on your daily lives? what type of government will you have? who will be in charge?

(I can tell this is your homework LOL, I hate it too). -Canada I personally love the cold, it's awesome, and it's useful when you have a broken fridge (LOL) and it's alot easier to build fake houses (Igloos) AND It has 80% of the fresh water in the world. English (Canadian version) 101, the only Canadian language that kicks ass - and it's the only language that I'm fluent int! Democratic, I would promote the video game industry by putting half a cent from every tax ( 14 cents ) and promote the harvesting/mining of fresh materials instantly to start making electronics, food, and other entertainment/survival products. Daily lives? And I would be in charge, I would have a mass of 7 body guards always at my side and have an assault rifle inside my coat at all times. I would have motion sensors all around my room for my bodyguards to watch. I make an official website of political polls and a site for my council to vote on. I would usually follow those polls. I would get started on the space program instantly, and develop atmospheric or earth terraforming tools for the colonization of mars. I would send robots to mine asteroids that are near or around the system or even the asteroid belt. I would develop a military with few, but advanced members and have a team of 200 developing their body armour and guns (Peacekeepers). I would also begin a carbon tax and a space elevator to reduce both launch costs, and atmosphere damage. I would then proceed to launch a spacecraft carrying hundreds of semi-polarized glass circles that are connected by a net of stations to prevent global warming. I would then focus on creating a spacecraft that "Catches" any commets heading for earth. Then finally make an orbital shield to protect us from any deadly gamma rays coming from dying stars.
