Cheap way to reach Manhattan 34th St from Newark Airport (ERW), no car? What transportation / estimated time?

What is a good and cheap way to reach Manhattan 34th St from Newark Airport (ERW) without a car? What kind of transportation should I use, what number, what is the estimated time I spend to reach Manhattan, 34th St. and at what cost? Thank you.

1. Okay, so take a cab or the air tran from Newark Airport (EWR) to the train station at Newark Broadstreet. From there, catch a train on NJ transit to Penn Station. If you take a cab, I'm not sure how much it would cost, maybe a little over $10, and then the train will cost a few dollars also, but if you take the air tran (I think it's offered) then I think it would be free to get to the train, plus a few dollars for the train to Penn Station. Maybe 30 minutes? Hope this helps!
