Shipping container from china to uk cheapest way please help thanks?

hi all and thanks for looking im thinking of order a 20ft container from china whats the cheapest way to bring a container over ie get the factory to ship to southamton and then get my own clearing agent to organise delivery to my address or get a someone from china to organise door to door thanks for your input...have shipping prices got cheaper???

1. idk 'bout getting your own clearance but DHL is known to be the cheapest when it comes to int'l shipping

There are 3 main harbors of sea shippment to UK, shanghai, ningbo, or shenzhen. you can chose one nearest to the items. for example, one 20ft container from NingBo harbor to Uk, cost 800 USD, 22days around to UK harbor. this is a lower price from shippment co. in china.The shippment agent company or person will arrange everything for you. Aother Door to door shipping way is to split your items into small cartons. use china post or EMS to ship them. for example, one 20KG box shipped to UK via EMS will cost 80 USD around if you get a good price. that means, using 800USD you can send 200KG items door to door via EMS, in 3-5 days to recieved them. U decide which to take.
