How to transport my dog to another state without me being there?

I need to transport my dog to New York from Denver. My friend is currently watching her and how do I bring her over here without me being there to take her and most importantly, what company offers those services...She is a German Shepard that weighs around 70-75 lbs. Please let me know, Im desperate.

1. your friend could ship her to you by plane. Of course she would have to be in the cargo hold. She would need a health clearance from the vet just before being shipped. And a crate approved by the airline for shipping. You could check out dofferent airlines regarding costs and other requirements.
2. The only way to send the dog by itself is on a plane. No other carrier will accept live animals. Unless you know someone who is coming there. you will have to go by plane.
3. a 500 kennel weighs 27 pounds. If dog & kennel are under 100 pounds, the cost is $309 plus surcharges, taxes & fee's...total around $350. If total weight is over 100 pounds, then it's $359 + fees....about $390. Call Continental cargo at 800-575-3335. You'll need a health certificate, your address & phone...and the same info for where the dog is going.
