Does anyone know the laws re-guarding shipping containers in Oakland,CA?

How big can it be? For how long can it be on a property? What if you remodel them into a house? There are shipping containers on commercial lots for storage everywhere. What are the rules regarding them on residential lots? And rules regarding renovating them as housing?

2. If you live in Oakland, CA. You don't see Shipping Containers on any streets, yards or lots ANYWHERE! Maximum drop-off time is 7-days with a Building Department sign and permit. If you leave for more than the seven days, you will be fined and city will remove "Eye Sore", and charge you for the removal.
