How does public transportation in Ethiopia work? How much does it cost for a ride?
I need information regarding the different modes of transportation in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, the associated costs and whether or not it's wheelchair-accessible. Specifically in Addis Ababa.

- only camels and donkeys
- i went to addis ababa in 2007, so the bus fares may have changed but it really cheap, and depends on where you are going. Well, there are two types of "buses" the real buses...which i never rode on... but i am assuming you are american and i will suggest you don't use them either since they are overcrowded and you may get pick pocket. These buses look like real buses and they are colored red. the other type of "bus" is really just a mini van that allows you to sit along side only 7 or 8 passengers and the fare depends on how far you will travel. It is really cheap, and since your a westerner, you won't even feel paying extra for this safer transportation. Then the next transportation is a taxi, this one is more expensive, but isn't too bad. Especially if you are using it once in a while. The taxi will be your best bet to being wheel chair accessible, but i am not sure about the mini van
