Should i change my amazon shipping speed?

I ordered my textbooks from amazon.com. i selected the FREE Super Saver Shipping. It says that i have a shipping estimate of aug 17 and the super saving shipping is 5-9 days in transit, ive heard stories of ppl waiting for 3 weeks when they use super saving shipping. My university starts on the 24th. THe estimate arrival of my books is 24th-28th. I would like to have my books on the first day. What is teh change i get it early? Am i allowed to change from free super saving to standard shipping on amazon?

1. If you want to be SURE you will get them on time, then you should just pay extra. I've gotten super saver shipping, and gotten books within 2 days!
2. You may be allowed to change the shipping speed on some of your order, but most likely some of your items have already shipped, so it may not be an option. You will probably end up paying at least 10 dollars more per book if you change to expedited shipping.
