How much does shipping cost a seller on ebay?
I just put it a few clothes on ebay and its 17.99. I put in free shipping because it suggested it. How much money will I actually make? Does ebay and the post office both charge for shipping?

- talk to the post office, they would know
- It really just varies, depends on whether or not you print the shipping label online, or if you take it to the actual shipping place, cheaper online, then it comes down to the weight/size of the package. I would have not put free shipping. I usually do at least $6.00 for shipping.
- eBay does not charge for shipping threw the site the cost would come from the weight of the item and that would be from the post office
- No only the post office charges for shipping. You have to weigh your clothes in a package to see how much they will cost to ship. Either buy a weight and weigh them at home and check usps.com to calculate shipping prices, or bring the packages to the post office and have them weigh it there. You can have it weighed and get an estimate without actually paying then or shipping it.
- Depend from which country one bought the clothes but it takes 2-10usd.
- If you clothes don't weigh that much and don't take that much space, you can stuff them in Priority Mail Flat rate boxes from as low as $4.95 to $11.95 I believe. - Depends mostly on the weight, the volume, and where you're sending it to. If you're going international, the shipping prices will rise exponentially with weight/volume, so if you cannot dish out the money for an international sale, be sure you say so in your item description before you find out you're going to pay $35 to ship an 18 dollar item to China. Call the post office and ask their rates. Have the volume/weight and location you're shipping to ready before you make the call.
- Well Im in Au I assume you are US?? HEre we hve prepaid satchels which kinda rule. 500grams for 5.90 and you express it for only a few dollars more. The bags go up to 3 kilos. They really are a life saveer because posting the other way can be rather expensive. Now do you know how much kilo the clothes are?? I love free postage...Ima buyer and a seller. I sell to buy. ♥ anyway I offer free postage when I know the item cost will cover it. SOme people suggest saying if you have something for 10 and postage for 8 charge 18 and give them free postage. Ebay I dont think they charge for shipping but the post office would ;) Take the items to your post office and they will give you t he best idea!
