You always hear about Obama and ACORN but what about McCain and ACORN? What do you think?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S6Z2t7DTVKA&feature=related McCain's ACORN "Exposed" By Tim Einenkel Hopefully all of the right wing nuts will stop with their silly allegations that the Association of Community Organizers for Reform Now or A.C.O.R.N. is a radical organization that has broken the laws, therefore Obama is a crazy radical as well and will destroy this country. If the right wing continues these allegations then their reporting will have to include McCain’s connection to this “radical” group. Politico’s Ben Smith reports that in March of 2006, John McCain sat besides Florida Rep. Kendrick Meek, therefore he was at an event Acorn co-sponsored in Florida, where he was the main speaker. 1. Ah... Ummm... An old man just forgot it ..
  2. even though im pro obama anyone can come on here and start posting random things about other people
  3. Acorn= Obama
  4. It doesn't matter - McCain's supporters won't believe it even though there's videotape of him at a meeting.
  5. McCain never benefited from ACORN. Obama has. His election as senator was likely invalid.
  6. It has been PROVEN that Acorn has come out for Obama. They are supposed to be a non partisan organization. John McCain was speaking to them about his views on immigration...not on voting registrations. He spoke to all sorts of groups, but that doesn't mean that he supported their efforts in all areas. The question regarding Obamas relationship with ACORN is because of their choosing him...not so much he choosing them. Why would an organization that has now been proven to be dishonest and leaning toward socialism select Obama to support? That tells the real story.
  7. They were both equally involved. In acorn. To be honest though i don't see why people make such a big deal. Just because someone is registered to vote doesn't mean they can.... Say you register a dead guy. Unless he walks from his grave to a voting booth he has no vote.
  8. Looky what we have here, yet another reason to vote for a third party
  9. n 2004 Obama was the community organizer for ACORN, they used government grant money for the road dept in Mo. to strong arm the legislature of the state and force pretty much the same kinda campaign he is running now. He has been at this for awhile even back them he promised them riches and he delivered, McCain went to ACORN of course because they are a government funded program for housing and he is a government official but he is in no way as deep as Obama is and it is designed that way absolutely . Congressman Jerry Costello (D., IL), a member of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee representing East St. Louis, attended one of UCMs annual public meetings where this issue was raised. Later, a delegation from UCM visited Costello in his Belleville, Illinois office and persuaded him to support the local hiring provision. Gamaliel had a closer connection on the Senate side. In November 2004 Barack Obama was elected to the U.S. Senate. A former organizer for Gamaliel in Chicago, Obama had worked for Mike Kruglik, the national political director of Gamaliel, and Kruglik’s son now served on Obama’s staff. It is almost unheard of for a U.S. Senator to attend a public meeting of a community organization, but Senator Obama attended a Gamaliel affiliate public meeting in Chicago. Heidi Swarts (2007) goes further and argues that centralized national organizations like ACORN are even more effective because they can pressure for national policy changes in ways that help them to build local power. What is the answer to our central question: Should CBOs “go regional”? If going regional means concentrating organizing efforts at the regional level, the answer is NO. There is nothing special about the regional scale. Indeed, informal regional collaborations can distract CBOs from essential political organizing.
  10. What radical alligations ? Acorn employees have been convicted of oter fraud in 6 or 7 states and are being investigated in 17 more states. Thats not alligations, thats pure facts.
  11. Being a speaker at an event two years ago doesn't mean there is a connection. Using Keith Olbermann to prove a point is like a conservative using Sean Hannity to prove a point. You need to focus on something that actually matters.
  12. I usually vote as a Dem. but after reading "The Case Against Barack Obama", by David Freddoso, I cannot vote for him. It has 35 pages of documentation to back up the facts. You should take the time to read it. Then if you can still back this man. More power to you. He won his first election by running unopposed after he hired a person skilled at disqualifying signers of the opposition petitions on whatever technicality he could come up with. Barack Obama was also against reform in the corrupt politics in Chicago! Now he wants change? How can I believe that?
