How does UPS (Shipping company) work?

I ordered a flat iron off of Folica.com and I don't know if UPS will ship me a form to get my item at the mail place or will it ship the item to my house? Its supposed to ship tomorrow and I wont be home to receive the item..

1. They will ship it to your address, if you are not home they will leave a slip for you to come by the ups place and pick it up.They are closed thursday so you will have to wait until friday. You can either pick it up or call the number on the slip and have them bring it back another day.
2. UPS will try to deliver to the address listed for them by the shipper. If there is no one home they will leave a slip with a potential new delivery date and a # to call them.
