How long long does UPS Ground shipping take?
I just ordered a power cord from a company today, Saturday, and I think it's shipping out from Irvine, California. I am around the Portland area in Oregon, and I was wondering when it would get here by. It didn't say on the receipt it sent me, just that it cost $5.19 (UPS Ground). I would like to have it here before Wednesday. Anyone think this will be possible? That would be 2 business days, Monday and Tuesday, however, just because I ordered it today, it doesn't necessarily mean it ships out today does it? :/

- Maybe it will take 3-5 days. You can give them a phone and tell them you need it urgently, so that they would post it for you in time!
- I once worked at a UPS store and let it be known that Grounds and 3-Day delivery in approximately the same days: 3. Grounds is cheaper.
- saturday and sunday are not business days so those are out... the order gets processed on monday, for the truck to pickup in california close of business monday night... It would then hit the local UPS hub in california, which I would assume would route it through LA. Now, you paid for the cheapest shipping possible so that box is not about to go air, so, it would get loaded onto the next northbound truck leaving the LA hub. depending on how many other stops are between the Portland hub, and the LA hub would determine what happens next... Depending on the load, he may get it to Portland in one day or 3 days... Typical UPS shipping time for a package ground is 3-5 days depending on how far apart you are from the sender. in this case, I am betting wednesday is iffy, at best. More than likely it takes until wednesday ot thursday for the box to make it into the Portland hub, then another day past that for the package to get loaded on your local truck and be delivered. Look for it to show up Thursday or Friday.
