Location Transport

Has anyone ever shipped heavy china through UPS or FED EX? Any instruction on shipping such heavy items?

I saw something on craigslist that is mucy cheaper than buying new but would require shipment across the country. Even if I can get the seller to agree, is shipping through UPS or Fed Ex affordable? Thanks.
