Can i still get my G1 even thought the MOT is on strike?

Hey, I live in Toronto and was wondering if I can still get my G1 Driver's License even though the Ministry of Transportation's on strike. I know people had to cancel their G2 examinations, but I'm not completely sure as to the how severe the strike actually is. Thanks.

  1. No you can't. It's the Drive Test centres that are on strike, which is where you need to go to write your test. You'll have to wait for the strike to be over.
  2. Drive Test centres are basically closed bad thing is summer is almost over you may not have time to get one on weekdays
  3. Yeah I was pretty pissed off too!!! I failed my g1 twice so on the day that i was going to go. I took the bus there.. To lawrence Drive Test and i went all the way just to find out that they're closed.. and so all they said was sorry.. "We can't let you do tha test ..The center is closed" I was so pissed!!!!!!!! because they 3rd time around I studied my ass off =(... so now we're both going to have to wait until the strikes over..
