If I have a California Provisional License, am I allowed to drive to Canada (Toronto)?

I was thinking about taking a cross-country trip and visiting my relatives along the way. Would there be any legal boundaries to this? I couldn't find much information about it online, either from the Californian DMV or Ontario's Ministry of Transportation. Could you give me the source of that information? Obviously with a full-on California Driver's License you are allowed to drive out of state.

  1. as long as canada (toronto)is in cal its ok /out of cal NO
  2. What do you mean provisional license? Are you talking about a Learner's Permit? Or is this a restricted license of some sort that says you can't drive at night or something like that? If it's a permit, it's questionable that the permit would be legit outside of California, and you would have to follow both California and local state laws regarding driving with a permit. As for Canada, it's any body's guess but my gut says a permit would not be accepted there.
