Wednesday 22nd of July 2009 Muscle cars. I know many of us Brits don’t get the appeal of muscle cars. But there are many of us that do. Including my childhood hero, Richard Hammond. Richard Hammond is famously known for his exciting job on Top Gear. He is known by his colleges by Hamster. Anyway let’s talk muscle, shall we? You look at some of the classic muscle cars. They’re great for looking at but real bad for driving. Not necessarily driving in a straight line, which is what America is made up of really. So I guess they should stay in America and not be transported to the U.K. Thing is though I came up with a problem. What happens if you travel over to America and at the car rental place they hand you the keys to a corvette ZR1. You end up driving that around America and you start to fall in love with its technical magic, its power, its speed, its beauty, its engine and the way it drives. When you have fallen in love with that corvette, you won’t want to give it back. However you have to, so you hand over the keys unwillingly, and get on your plane, and think on your way home, I’m going to buy the corvette. You get to Britain and go into a corvette dealership. They offer you to test drive it, of course u accept, but you already know how it feels. Out on the road. Something’s different. The cars the same but the roads have changed. They aren’t smooth and straight instead they are bumpy and twisty. Many things are different in America to Britain like: *food-(bigger portions) *people-(they have different culture to us) *restaurants-(they are set out different and different rules) *roads-(nice and straight) *theme parks-(bigger, and better) Don’t get me wrong. I’ve seriously thought about living over there. There are many plus points about America; however there are many things I don’t want to go for. Car city is over there Detroit but Top Gear isn’t over there till like 6months after Britain gets it. If I did live over there I think I would buy a muscle car but instead of the modern ones I would buy a dodge charger. It looks good and it’s a proper muscle car, it just doesn’t do corners, well it doesn’t need to in America does it? The main point about this piece on muscle cars is to show the modern muscle cars are good but before you buy a newer one just have a look at the oldies. Plus don’t fall for when you go to America and drive a muscle car and go to buy one over here. Because you will just be disappointed. It’s about time America gets a taste of our roads to understand muscle cars need to go round corners to be accepted in Britain. I think America would be shocked to see what kind of cars we have on our roads. I mean I’m even shocked people are still buying Seats. If an American saw a Seat I think they would just walk over it.

  1. and your point is? are we checking your content or spelling? (i was going to have a hot drink and go to bed, no need now, zzzz)
  2. You really need to learn something about grammar, structure, punctuation and spelling before you can become a journalist.
  3. Total and utter rubbish. Start by finishing your education, or if you have already left school, then you need to go back to learn English. Your grammar, sentence structure and spelling would get you absolutely nowhere near a job in journalism. (well maybe with the Guardian). That and the "story" is well below average.
