Is DHL shipping really reliable?

Looking up 'DHL complaints' on Google scores me websites dedicated to complaint after complaint all over DHL and their incompetency. I plan on ordering a gothic lolita coat from Bodyline, and they are currently offering free shipping with DHL. Is DHL reliable enough for me to risk $125? And has anyone ordered from Bodyline with DHL shipping and safely got their things?

1. DHL is generally reliable. However, unlike UPS and Fed ex who use their own employees to make pickups and deliveries, DHL uses independent contractors. What this means is, if you live in a remote area, you may or may not get your package delivered on time./ If yours is the only delivery in the area, the DHL contractor may decide it isn;t worth running there for one delivery.
