shipping a package through fed-ex or dhl to the philippines?

ive sent a package through usps to the phils and it was supposed to arrive there in 5-10 business days. it arrived there almost a month later but fortunetely it arrived and had all the contents still intact. would there be a similar problem as far as shipping time went using fed-ex or dhl? has anyone used these companies to ship abroad before?

  1. When there is delays on package shipments, its usually caused by customs clearance delay. Sometimes when there is a sizeble tax to be paid , they (UPS, DHL, etc...) will call the reciepient if they are willing to pay.. here and there you have your delays. Also you can always track to thier respective websites, there you will see the cause .... But if you only send documents or non taxable items, then there is a problem. In my buisness, I do ship and have items ship to me, personally I am quite happy with the services of DHL and FEDEX
  2. I have sent papers with FEDEX & was happy with the results (but not the price!) they got here in 3 days. They provide tracking #s which are a big help. If you are sending a large box then use LBC (teamlbc.com) it will take 6 or 7 weeks but you can send it with no weight limits on a 2 ft. X 2ft box for around $70 to Manila. Be vague in listing the contents ie. gifts, used clothes, canned goods or used toys.
