public transport on 1st of January in London?

Does anyone know if there is any public transport (bus or tube or something else) that works on the 1st of January from Victoria Station (London)? And does the underground service work on that day in London? Thanks to anyone that will give me a definitive answer, have a good sunday night. Betty

  1. I'm sure it's on the TFL site somewhere: http://www.tfl.gov.uk/
  2. yes public transport (tubes, buses etc) work on 1st January but it will be a reduced service, probably like a Sunday service ... check with the Transport for London website nearer the time and it will give you all the details http://www.tfl.gov.uk/
  3. Transport will run as it does on a bank holiday. there might be a shortage on train services but buses and tubes will be running as usual
  4. Here in London the Tube will continue running until about 4am and all journeys made after Midnight on the 31st December are FREE. You can get the latest Travel News info at the BBC link below - click on rail in the top left column etc. http://www.bbc.co.uk/travelnews/local/london.shtml
