Travel & Hotels around Thorpe Park & London?

Hi all, Going to Thorpe Park on May 15th, we are travelling down by coach in the morning (the return is included later that evening) anyway we were thinking about going to london afterwards and staying the night, shopping the next day. Firstly pretty sure there has to be but not sure, is there a train or bus into london from thorpe park if so any websites for this? Also where would you recommend staying, dosnt have to be in london city but easy to get to with public transport and has at least a bar or restaurant near by! :-)

1. A short bus journey from Thorpe Park, is the town of Staines. There you will find a number of hotels, such as Travelodge, etc.. You may find a cheaper hotel closer to Heathrow Airport, but there is not much to do in the area. Staines hasit's owncinema, pubs, bars & restaurants, etc...
2. From Thorpe Park take the 950 bus to Staines Station. From Staines SWT trains run frequently to London Waterloo taking about 35 minutes
