How can I find a book with just the plot and location of the story?

I read a book as a young girl I would like to find it. But I can't remember the name. I do no the plot and the location where the story took place. Is the a way to find the book with just this information?

1. Somebody is probably working on a website that will allow you to type in some details of the plot and see books that might match. (And publishers will probably scream that it infringes copyrights, though it wouldn't necessarily have to.) But until that site launches, you need to rely on the Mark I brain. In short, edit your question and post whatever you can remember, and somebody will probably figure out which book it is.
2. Usually you can actually type in the details in a Yahoo question, with the title something like "Please help me find a book?" or something like that. I have seen it done many, many times and it works, usually the people get great answers, the bok they are looking for!
