I'm moving 1800 miles away from where i live now, Can i transport all my stuff on the train..?
and how much would it cost. I was also thinking about getting a UHAUL TRAILER and attaching it to the back of my car with their tow package, but i didn't want to drive such a far distance with a 18 month old baby. Do you have any ideas?

- Do you mean train - as in an Amtrak passenger train, or by freight? Amtrak restricts passengers to 2 carry on and 3 checked bags For their baggage rules, see: http://www.amtrak.com/servlet/ContentServer?c=AM_Content_C&pagename=am%2FLayout&cid=1241267293829 If you mean by freight, take a look at a few results from a search for <freight shipments train> http://www.freightcenter.com/rail%20freight.aspx http://www.freightquote.com/Public/AboutUs/FQ/Intermodal/Ship-by-rail.aspx http://www.transportationservices.ca/transportation/intermodal.html I have no idea if these take shipments from the general public, or how you would arrange to get the items from your house/apartment to the freight yard.
- Interesting? How do you plan to transport your car, if you are not going to drive it? It will be very expensive to ship it. As much as you appear to dislike the idea, I think U-haul is the better option, maybe you could enlist a friend to share the driving, and travel back once you've unpacked?
