how to convince my dad to buy me a car overseas?

I'm an international student studying in Australia, i would like to know your idea about how to convince my dad to buy me a car as i leave away from my parents and by myself. some more info: I am 19 and half and hold a license since i was 18 my dad is rich but very very stingy when it comes to me! He sent me to dorm so that i get fed and get close to university (i.e. no need for transport in his mind) i have already been there by myself for 3 years and i will commence my 3rd year university soon I have tried all the ways and it does not work, its simply the money he doesn't wanna spend and save to buy another property for himself! so, let me know about what to do as my last option (very tough situation) thanks.

1. You could try public transport for a while and keep the tickets then send them to him; but that probably won't change his mind. The public transport idea is good though, it will get you around cheaper than a car.
2. tell him that you simply cannot stay in the dorms any longer because it is affecting your grades and you can't study. Therefore, you need an apartment, and a car so that you can get to school, work, and back home at night. Public transportation is just not safe and you could be mugged or raped. Would he really want to see you in the hospital? or have to buy a ticket to come see you?
3. Its all about ur grades.
