Touring Barcelona by public transport?
I am staying in Madrid and want to go for a full day to Barcelona and see some main sights - I will be taking the AVE train from Madrid to Barcelona.. when I get off the station will it be in Barcelona center? Is there a metro I can take around the city or will walkign tour be fine? In Madrid, I know you can take the metro or just walk to the main sights.. wnat to know if I can expect the same in Barcelona or will I likely need a car/taxi... Thanks!

- Metro system in Barcelona is very good. You can get to all the main places by metro. I'm not sure to which train station you will get to but probably Barcelona Sants and there is a metro stop at the same station. - You'll arrive in Barcelona Sants, which is the main station for Barcelona but some way from the centre. You could take the metro, which is good, or otherwise take the tourist bus, which will show you the best of Barcelona and allow you to hop on and off when you want to see something in detail.
