Is there public transport in Wales besides Cardiff? Or do you need a car?
I'm looking at applying to the Welsh universities Glamorgan and Bangor, but they seem to be in rural areas where one wouldn't expect there to be public transport available. Is this true? No need to get defensive, the US is developed as well, but there are certain states that have little or no public transport, like where I live in W. Texas- You really can't get around without a car.

- dunno about Glamorgan but Bangor has plenty of public transport infrastructure. its on the railway line from England to Holyhead its served by buses (IIRC Arriva) its a fairly compact town, with plenty going on. Im pretty certain long haul buses and coaches serve Bangor
- Arriva run it that part of wales but that could be some small firm that run in that area you could also take a look on the Universities that you want to go to as it should have how to get there by bus
- Of course there is public transport available, this is the United Kingdom were talking about here, a developed country, why wouldn't it have public transport?
- Bus and train services in Wales are fairly plentiful considering how sparsely populated large parts of it are. See www.arrivatrainswales.co.uk www, traveline.info Trains from inside Wales to major cities such as London are operated by First Great Western (South Wales) www.firstgreatwestern.co.uk and Virgin Trains (North Wales) www.virgintrains.co.uk There is also a Wrexham (Wales) to London service operated by Wrexham and Shropshire www.wrexhamandshropshire.co.uk
