i want to return my iPhone 3G 16GB for a new one?

i want to return my iPhone 3G 16GB for a new one cause my "current location" stop working after upgrade 3.0 but thats not the point if i take it to apple store to check it and assuming they will give me a new one. Are they going to give me the new one there in that moment or i have to wait ???? And are they going to give me a new one or a refurbish one? - i am still in the 1 year warranty with att-

1. It depends why you want to return it. If its broken and its under your warranty then they will give you a new one for free, most likely refurbished. If you just want a new one cause you want a new one, you're going to have to pay the $700 for it or whatever the full price is. They will give you one at that moment most likely. Make sure you have your sim tray too.
