how can we track some one using a cell phone (its equipped with gps)?

the cellphone is placed with the object we wish to track.......now how do we make it transmit the exact location to satellite and then to a website of our choice

1. This can be done with triangulation from the towers used to transmit the signal.
2. your just a stalker and shouldnt be told how!!!
3. Only the phone companys and 911 have the facilities to do that.
4. only the police can triangulate the signal from the tower and find the person or his or her cell phone
5. If you can hook up a GPS receiver to a cell phone you can get SMS alerts to where it is. Not telling you how though.
6. certain companies (i think nextel) offer these services for only a data charge every month, probably 10-30$ a month the triangulation as mentioned before is using the cellular signals, is highly regulated, encrypted, and although can be tracked and used in ITS (intelligent transportation systems) to monitor traffic, especially in europe although slowly being adapeted in us, the signals implemented to sense the speed and flow of traffic are anoymous and would not be applicable in a situation that you wanted to monitor personally
7. ALL new (by new i mean 1998ish and up) have tracking systems on it... also all cellphones have a feauture that allows you to shut it off or limit it to 911 call location only.
