What do I do with my old Ontario plates?

I moved and registered my car in the US. I searched the Ontario Ministry of Transportation and elsewhere and could not find an answer. Do I just let the registration expire, or send them back? Don't I need to cancel my Ontario registration? How do I do that? There is nothing on the website concerning that, and Google produced no results either. Maybe that was the question I should be asking:)
