How do I get from Newcastle Airport to Manchester Airport by public transport?
Okay, I'm going on holiday tomorrow and because of the BA strike the only flight I can back to the UK is to Newcastle Airport. However, I am flying out and parking my car at Manchester Airport, therefore would have to use public transport to get to my car from Newcastle Airport to Manchester Airport. Does anyone know the best route for this? Prefferable low price please. :D :D

- The metro departs every 12 minutes during daytime and reaches Newcastle Central station after 35 minutes, fare £2.90. Direct trains to Manchester Airport take about 3 hours, fare £54.90; connections with stopovers at York and Manchester Picadilly take about 3½ hours and start from £29.00. - From Newcastle Airport take the local metro train or a taxi to Newcastle Central Station and then a Transpennine Express train to Manchester Airport Station. www.tpexpress.co.uk If you buy your ticket now from the website it will be cheaper than stated above. Whether you book in advance or not a railcard will give you a 34% discount. www.railcard.co.uk
- get the metro from the Airport to Newcastle Central. From there there are some direct trains to Manchester Airport. If none are convenient you may need to change a couple of times (maybe get a York train, change to a Manchester train then get an airport train at piccadiliy) www.thetrainline.co.uk will help you plan
