UPS, is it possible to speed up shipping for a package that's already been shipped out?

So if I want to change the shipping speed of a package that will get here on Thursday (UPS ground) and switch it to 2 day select so that it can get here Tuesday is that possible? sorry not 2 day select actually 2nd day air.

1. I'm not sure. If it's ground, it's probably already on a truck enroute and wouldn't be able to be delivered earlier. You could call their customer service number and ask.
2. You can always call UPS at 800-742-5877 and ask, but I really doubt it. I think once a package starts, it can't be intercepted until delivery has been attempted. Even if they could, they'd probably have to return it to you first, which would loose more time than if it continued at the Ground method.
