Canadian government or courts of law...?

I lost my Driver's Licence 7 years ago. The Judge said it would be suspended for 15 months. I went to the Ministry of Transportation Ontario after said time to get my licence back but they said it was suspended for 3 years. My question is; who has more power, the MTO or a court appointed Judge? Can any Ministry overturn a Judge's ruling? I spoke to a lawyer regarding this matter and he told me I was the first person to actually bring the matter to his attention. He said it would be the first time anyone would try and probably cost an arm and leg, neither of which I could do without. I was always under the assumption that the courts basicaly had the final say in any legal matter, guess I was wrong.

  1. In Ontario there is the rule of law. Whatever you disclosed here, either is not a complete story, or there is a point of law that you are not understanding it. According to the Law in Ontario, you can force the MTO to provide answer to the court. I can help you you for free, but you must put all your facts in an Affidavit and post it to my address with registered mail. TAKE NOTICE that you must pay all 'courts' fees' for filing documents and costs of the Crown, if a judge find your that claim was vexatious.
