please help answer all these questions about traveling by Greyhound, I would greatly appreciate it, .?
Does anyone know any Greyhound Bus Terminals/locations in Toronto? I'm going to Manhattan, New York with a friend and I'm looking for a cheaper way then the plane. Driving is out so Greyhound is the next best option. Where are terminals located for us to board the greyhound in Toronto? Does Yorkdale Mall, or Pearson Airport have a greyhound terminal that goes to New York? What is the best stop to get off at when I get into New York? JFK Airport, Penn Station, or Port Authority? We're staying at the Comfort Inn 305 West 39th Street (south), NY 10018 Also when we get there what type of transportation would get us to our hotel from bus terminal in the shortest (cheapest) amount of time? As well as from our hotel back to the bus terminal when it's time to leave NY? And when purchasing a Bus ticket for Round Trip does it tell you where to catch your greyhound for returning back to Canada ?

- All that info is on their website. http://www.greyhound.com/home/ Go there, or take Peter Pan.
- Can't answer about Toronto, specifically, but: Many hotels offer shuttle service to and from bus stations or airports, either for free if you're a guest, or for a slight fee. Contact your hotel and see what's available. Even if they don't offer the service, they should be able to recommend something. The downside is that shuttles tend to go on a set schedule, sometimes every hour, sometimes every half hour. Unless something has changed about the ticket system, your round-trip ticket will not give you any information. All it does is show whoever takes it when you get on the bus that you're entitled to be there. You're responsible for finding out when and where to be to catch your bus, unlike an airplane ticket, which will tell you where you need to be. Call Greyhound Canada to get the most reliable information. They can answer all your questions more reliably than anyone here will. Just keep in mind that you are looking at a LONG ride (12+ hours). I know it's more expensive, but an airline ticket really IS less of a hassle.
- I realize you're looking for the least expensive way to travel, but if you haven't ever taken a Greyhound bus you may want to reconsider. It will be a long trip and Greyhound stops at every 2 horse town along the way to pick up and drop off, not to mention food breaks. Be sure to go to the bathroom when you stop because the bathroom on the bus is usually a filthy, stinky mess. Y'all will hear crying babies, bored whiny kids, frustrated moms yelling at kids, people snoring & coughing. It won't be a pleasant trip. Remember y'all will need a passport to come into the US.
