Is DHL international shipping a good method of shipping packages?

I heard people had problems with their package arriving. So I want to order from this guy on ebay with an excellent feedback located in China and he says he ships via DHL. First his feedback is good enough to be trusted. I live in US, California and yeah it will be an international shipping method. Will DHL lose my package if it is shipped by it? Any experiences with DHL?

1. Both Federal Express and DHL are equally reliable for international shipments from Asia, including China. I suggest avoiding EMS and TNT since they do not have a delivery network in the US. Keep in mind that whatever you are buying on e-bay from China has to go through US customs. You'll have to pay DHL for their customs services, and customs has the right to open and inspect your package. It will not get delivered to you until US customs clears it, so make sure what is being shipped to you is legitimate and not a knockoff (customs will seize known fakes and you'll lose your money).
2. Don't do it. DHL is a good real company. But the guy in China is lying, he's not going to use it to send you stuff. He just wants your money. He will never send you anything. Ha ha. His feedback rating is completely meaningless. It's very easy to fake that, or hijack someone else's account.
