Location Transport

Can I transport a small knife collection via plane?

I have 3 knives, all are NOT pocket knives. I've had them for a long time. Could I transport them in cargo? How would I go about taking them with me?

  1. if you can't even take hairspray on a plane then you definitely can't take knives!!!!
  2. Yes in cargo, no in carry on.
  3. You can transport them in cargo or checked baggage. Also, it may be good idea to let the counter ticket agent know you have packed a knife collection in checked luggage. and you headed for a knife collectors show in the city where going. Also, lock your luggage zipper.
  4. lol yes u can take hair spray on a plane just not in ur carry on luggage durrr' umm yher burt u would have to declair it
  5. ups them to your destination if they are valuable. you can't lock your luggage anymore, security will open it
  6. Good luck trying
  7. it would be better to mail them. certified and or insured or at least purchase additional insurance. in case they get lost or stolen. you would have to check them as regular baggage. not allowed to carry them on.
  8. just put it in your checked-in luggage. I always do that with my leatherman plier tool. They saw the knife, i have to show them the long nose plier and that its my tool being aircraft mechanic.
  9. You might or might not get into trouble taking them along in checked luggage. It would be better to ship them.
  10. Ship them UPS, FEDEX or USPS and insure them. Since your suitcase will probably be opened after it is scanned, they could be stolen if worth anything.
  11. You can take knives, handguns, assault rifles, and ammunition in luggage.
  12. Yes. But fold some clothes around it.
