Ground transportation from Orlando to Port Canaveral?
I will arrive at the Orlando airport in August for a cruise out of Port Canaveral. Should I rent a car and pay to park there (I will be staying a few days after the cruise in MCO)? or is there a ground transportation service out of the airport that will take me there and take me back to the aiport afterwards? I don't think that the cruise ship offers that (Royal Caribbean).

- First you should check with the cruise line as they usually offer transfers between the nearest major airport and the cruise port. Just call RC direct at the number listed on their web site. You can rent a car and then instead of paying to park it for a week, drop it off at the port in Port Canaveral. There are a couple of car companies with offices right at the port and then you can reserve a return to Orlando for when you return. There is no drop-off charge since you will pick up the car in Florida and drop it in Florida. Since you will be staying in Florida after the cruise the rental car may be your best option. Or you can use a van/shuttle service between Orlando and Port Canaveral. THis is from the Port Canaveral web site: " All the major car rental agencies have locations a short distance from our terminals, with complimentary shuttle service. " Take a look at the web site for other options: http://www.portcanaveral.com/cruising/gettinghere.php
