how to track a cell phone location for FREE!?

i am trying to track a cell phone that is connected to my plan but i dont want the person to know that i am trying to track them they have a lg env 3 phone with navagation. is there anyone that knows a website that is totaly free that i can see where this person is for free? i would like to be able to do it from my computer but if thats not possible i can do i from my cell phone! any answers will be gratly appreciated i have searched every where online and cant find anywhere thats free that actually tells you the exact location of where this person is. thanks for any answers you can help me with

2. If this is a relationship distrust issue, I think you should stop and ask yourself if you feel the need to do this, is this a relationship worth having and keeping? If this is to keep track of your child, and you have Verizon, they have a thing you pay for now to do this. Though I'm not sure how well it works. I'd also point out it could be considered an invasion of privacy and you could get into trouble for doing it if caught and the person wants to pursue it? That said, you can google this, as I did which got me the link I included below. But type in and google, cell phone tracking software. I also know if you have an iphone, you can buy and download an ap and when you enter a cell phone number it gives you the location. Though I can't honestly say if or how well it works.
