The Qu'ran burning Minister from Florida.. gets all delusional (lies) about a conversation he's had with an Imam... yes Lied.. lets not soft sell this Ok? And calls off his "Book Burning" spectacle.. if the Ground Zero Mosque will change it's location (Religious extortion) He admits he's never read the Qu'ran but that it's anti-american regardless. Then makes the connection between The ground Zero Community center for his shot at 15 minutes of fame... Lets be more honest... if people die.. lets say "One" soldier gets sniped for this nonsense, because even though the pastor has backed down.. his idea sparked a firestorm in here and elsewhere.. and he did have his supporters.. lots of You. He technically in my book would be guilty of negligent homicide, at least as an accomplice... At what point do we stop allowing for the use of "Free Speech" and call it for what it is... Subversion? Troops endangered, citizens attacked, A steady cry of "Holy war" from Radical Christians and the response from Radical Muslims alike... do we want to manufacture a war of theocratic differences in a secular country like the United States? All so that we can have a Republican Run in the house and senate in November?

That "pastor" does not speak for the majority of those of us on the right. Muslims are very sensitive if anyone says something bad about their religion. I completely agree. The fact that no one from the right came out immediately condemning his actions speaks volumes. Sure, they all got on board and made statements a week after the nation was outraged and it had been daily news. But when you have someone like Beck and Gingrich saying basically the same thing, it becomes a culpability thing. Words matter. They are making this a religious war between Christian and Muslim fanatics, , when it really is not, and most of us,- Christian and Muslims- know all this nonsense is just that- nonsense.

Yes, Si, Ja, Oui, 네 Free speech is a funny thing, like any freedom. It is illegal to run down the street firing an assault rifle into the air. Some freedoms must be limited. Speech is the most dangerous weapon in a person's arsenal. Ironically, it is illegal to walk up to a person and say something like, "you f*cking assh*le, I hope someone kills you," (this is considered assault), yet this type of behavior is considered acceptable on a mass scale. People consider it ok for a group of people to verbally attack a certain group of people. The action is the same, yet one is considered illegal and the other is called "free speech." When you look at both major political parties in America, neither one gives a damn about the people. The Republicans would gladly sacrific the lives of our troops if it meant being elected in November, and so would the Democrats. When will America wake up and realize our brave soldiers are being used as pawns in a sick, political game?

Don't know if you've been listening (obviously not, since all of you leftist talk-radio bashers NEVER actually LISTEN to Beck and Limbaugh, who you enjoy criticizing so much), but the vast majority of us right-wingers are actually against the Quran burning idea. Pause to let above information sink in. Now the next point: There is nothing dangerous about putting on a peaceful demonstration, which is what Mr. Jones intends, or at least used to intend (I wish he would make up his mind) to do. The real crime is that the vast majority of Americans, both conservative AND liberal, are now willing to allow the threat of retribution by radical Muslims to be a factor in our decision-making process. Are we now to avoid anything that might upset the Muslims and cause retaliation, even to the extend of limiting our own free speach? (Please, PLEASE consider that question very carefully.) If so, then the terrorists have won. Better stop flying the flag; you might upset mteh Muslims.
The problem is the media. Jones should have a right to free speech, but he shouldn't have a right to international news coverage. And it's not as though the media would be ignoring a story; until they got involved there was no story. There was no involvement by the government, no backlash from extremists, no public support/outrage. The story on the news is basically just how various groups are reacting to the news.
