Which San Francisco neighborhood is best to live in if you have to commute to the South Bay w/public transport?
Looking to make a move to the city, and don't want to have to drive to my job in the South Bay.

- SOMA, you can walk to 4th/King Caltrain station, there are many new apartments for rent, start from $2000 for studio
- Just live in the South Bay, that way you don't have to commute. But if you want to live in SF, then make sure you're near a Caltrain station.
- It makes a difference if you have a family or are single. There is not much that is residential near SP Depot or Cal Train at 4th St. except maybe South of Market or South Beach so that means walking to get a bus when you get off the train in S.F. and you probably would have to do that in San Jose or whever you work.
