Does DHL shipping take longer than others?

I ordered software from Apple and it shipped out Tuesday the 28th from a city near Sacramento, CA. I live 1 hour from Los Angeles, and the ETA from DHL is Oct. 6th. However, it seemed too long for me, so I checked with UPS, FedEx and USPS, and they all take 2 business days to deliver a package from the same city to where I live. Why is DHL taking longer? Is the ETA from DHL longer to make up for any problems or delays?

1. Yeah, it's just an ESTIMATE. I think you will have your item before the estimated date. They just do that to cover their a$$. ----------------- I personally prefer UPS or FedEx for parcels over USPS (lame) or DHL.
2. It suppose 2 busines days like others,,,, even us postal service take 2 busines days. Maybe it is a apples mistake and no dhl
