How can I track a mobile phone number online?

I have seen my friend once tracking my number through internet. He was able to get my exact location. But he was using cell phone and I want to track mobile numbers on my PC. I mean through my internet connection on PC, and not on mobile. Please help! You are right. My friend has iphone. And he successfully tracked me. What about Google Latitude? Can it be used on PC??

1. The new i phone makes it possible to track someone, so I've heard. TV news item few days ago. the i phone has a built GPS chip and it attaches the location to messages it sends out. So someone receiving the message know where you are. Only mobiles with GPS can be tracked to exact location. You can't trace a mobile phone number on the internet due to privacy issues and the law. At least that is the case where I live.
