How much does it cost to transport a bike interstate?

I have a scooter I want to send from Melbourne to Sydney, can anyone recommend a cheap transport company. Plus how much would it cost? Thank you :)

1. Not ride it ... Or get a friend with a van or hire a van yourself and transport the scooter ????
2. rent a uhaul or pickup truck or ride it Oh it would cost about $3.89 per gallon Just so you know a scooter is not a bike or motorcycle. two sprockets with a chain or belt cycling around them is a bike AKA bicycle. Bi means two and cycle means to go around. Motorcycle motor powered bicycle. Scooter has no chain or belt drive. None that I've seen anyhow.
